Open Access Policy

The scientific journal Medical Science of Ukraine is an open-access publication. The full texts of all published materials are available to readers free of charge and without the need for subscription or registration.

The journal does not charge readers or their institutions for access to published materials. Authors are likewise not charged any fees for providing open access to their articles.

Access to Published Materials

All articles published in the journal are permanently available on an open-access basis. Users may read, download, copy, store, print and distribute published materials free of charge in accordance with the terms of the applicable licence.

The full texts of articles are available in the Archive section of the journal’s official website.

Users’ Rights

The journal’s materials are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

This licence allows third parties to:

• copy and distribute materials in any medium or format;
• create extracts, reviews, translations, adaptations and other derivative materials;
• modify, transform and otherwise use published materials;
• use the materials for both non-commercial and commercial purposes.

Reuse is permitted provided that the user:

• appropriately credits the author or authors and states the title of the original publication;
• provides a full bibliographic reference to the article;
• includes a link to the official version of the publication using its DOI;
• states that the material is distributed under the CC BY 4.0 licence and provides a link to the licence;
• clearly indicates any changes made where the material has been modified or adapted;
• does not imply that the authors, the journal or the publisher endorse the relevant use of the material.

Authors’ Rights

Authors retain the copyright in their works and grant Medical Science of Ukraine a non-exclusive right of first publication, distribution, archiving and inclusion in electronic databases.

Authors may subsequently use their published materials in their scientific, educational and professional activities. This includes depositing them in institutional or subject-specific repositories, posting them on personal or institutional webpages and incorporating them into other works, provided that appropriate reference is made to the original publication in the journal.

The journal’s policy is consistent with the principles of open access set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
